Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women. More than one million women a year are diagnosed with breast cancer worldwide, including 50,000 women in Russia1,2. It is currently the most common cause of death in Russian women aged 45-55 years2.

Survival rates for early diagnosed breast cancer have improved dramatically in recent years, however most women diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer still only live for less than two years after diagnosis3.
